So now that we finally done with one Project, I’m ready to reveal it. My friend Martin from maczmart.com and I did a little something for our pre-diploma Qualification. A fictional viral video for a fictional Dubstep/Drum’n’Bass online radio. My Part was to paint some sort of storyboard for it, so i did and here it is. It’s only black and white and very sloppy since i ran out of time during production. I thought i’d post it anyway since it’s not exactly the same as the video, because of the budget and all that. But it turned out great anyway thanks to Martin’s editing. So without further ado, here it is! Boom!

Welcome, lost internet user!

As you may notice i’m too much of a lazy fuck to update my blog. So if you’re here and reading this, which is a miracle, I won’t take much of your time and get down to business.
I still have those projects I was talking about in last post. One of those i’m going to unveal. It’s my Diploma project for my Graphic design school i’m attending right now. It’s due to next year so the pressure’s there. I’m illustrating and doing designing collector edition of Phillip K. Dick’s “Ubik”. Here are some character designs I’ve done.

And here’s a scetch i kinda like done for nothing but shits and giggles. Maybe I’ll post more of those later. The other projects i can’t yet reveal, but will do it next month i hope.

For my new years resolution i wanted to post on my blog more frequently, which is a pain, but check in another week or so. Maybe I’ll stay true to it.

It’s been a long while…

Over a month to be exact. I’ve been struggling over a loss of my Macintosh which passed away couple of days after my last update. The damage is quite heavy, and it will cost me quite a bit to repair it so now i’m getting rid of it and hopefully getting a new one instead so i can paint digitally again.

In meanwhile i did this and that. There were some smaller commissions, which i probably won’t even bother showing and the bigger one which took me quite some time to get and i’m finally ready with it’s 1st and most hard part. Those are B&W pencil illustrations for a novel of my friend Norman Liebold, entitled “The Cave” (Die Höhle). The 2nd Part of this commission is to paint the cover, which i will be doing in oils really soon.

I’ve also painted some stuff in oils but i’m not sharing it just yet, so hold on to your pants and look forward to the next update coming to the internets near you.

Update tiiiime

Okay, i was waiting to finish everything i started to update, but now that even more shit’s coming my way I better update while I still can.
For starters, i should excuse myself for not showing more than expected after, what, one and a half weeks? But there was really nice weather outside so i went out a lot.
I brought some oils with me on two of those days and painted these two alla primas. Each took me 2 or so hours. Nothing to be proud of but i’m not giving up on that yet.

Moving on to something i did at home. Here we have my CPA challenge entry – Amphisbaena and some random sketchy stuff i did for fun to experiment a little. Tons of fun. ***

Oh and remember that self-portrait I was posting lately about? Well i’m still on it and it’s still not done. Never hated my face so much in my life. Still learning something out of it though so i guess it’s cool.

Oh and yes, those pics of oils have horrible Quality – that’s cause I’ve been shooting them with my Iphone. Where’s the money worth, right? Ah i don’t care. It makes me feel accepted in society so i’m keeping it.

PS: just noticed I’ve finally opened up every category of my gallery. Ain’t that some shit, we’re finally getting somewhere!

Easter update

Happy late Easter everyone! Been away for couple of days and used this time to read some books and doodle a little. Nothing very fancy, but still pretty fun.

And some oil study from the other day, done with my friend Michael (http://fiction-planet.blogspot.com/).

That’s it for now. Got some comissions to do next so i will probably post those next.

Challenges

It’s been over two weeks since last post, and nearly 1 and a half weeks since the Site’s online and ready. What took me so long? Challenges. One’s always being challenged by reality. We all wish to be wizards and spacemen wenn we grow up. But does that mean we will become one for real if we just wish it this way? Everyone has his own challenges in life to deal with. That’s the way it got to be. We confront these challenges and try to master them to become better people. People we want to be. Sure it’s not easy and sometimes one does want to just give up, especially when things get really bad for him and it takes lots of struggling to get back up. And that’s where the ultimate challenge takes place. To stand up and show the world that you’re worth being a wizard. Shit, even if you don’t become one you’ll still kick some ass on the way there, right? Life’s no contest, there’s no winner or loser, it’s more how you feel about yourself and if you are content with who you currently are.
And that’s why it took me so long..

On the more positive and less sentimental news, I’m currently back on CgHub and am participating in some challenges on their boards for now on. Here’s my WIP on the newest Characterforge: Fighting Game Character.

And a selfportrait WIP. Oils on Board. Board is pretty challenging, too, i must say. but i think i’m getting used to it.

Working on the site

So i’ve had this crazy idea of motivating myself by finally going global with a personal site & blog. After long time thinking about other stuff, trying to get past last semester and not doing it I finally started doing it. The only ones who can see this post right now will be probably my good friends and me, of course, but still i wanted to kinda start this whole thing with this thought. After long time finding myself and still being not entirely found, it is time to grow a pair and get things moving. I’ll be getting my diploma in Communication design with major in Illustration in 2 years and i still haven’t thought much what to do about later. All this self-consciousness and doubts got the best of me the last couple of years. Well, this is what is going to be changed now. Without much to offer a viewer when i launch this site i hope to fill those galleries with my stuff asap. So please bear with nothingness for a while and wish me luck.
